On February 24th and March 10th the AMMI (https://ammi.ca/en/) One Health Working Group will host CEZD members Dr Christa Arsenault, Dr Egan Brockoff and Dr Gigi Lin - to present "Understanding Swine and Poultry Production Systems in Canada: A One Health Perspective on Infectious Diseases". This two-part webinar series will explore swine and poultry production systems in Canada through a One Health lens. The webinars are intended for Infectious Disease physicians, Medical Microbiologists, Veterinarians, Public Health experts and others with an interest in One Health. All are welcome. The One Health: AMR & Emerging Zoonoses Conference unites experts across disciplines to address antimicrobial resistance (AMR) and emerging zoonotic diseases (EZ) through a collaborative One Health approach. By fostering interdisciplinary learning, research, and partnerships, the conference empowers attendees to tackle health challenges impacting humans, animals, and ecosystems, ensuring a sustainable future for global health.

This Zoonoses, AMR, and BioInformatics (ZAMBI) meeting brings together cross-disciplinary researchers and trainees working at the intersection of antimicrobial resistance, emerging zoonotic diseases, and computational biology to share their research and develop new cross-cutting One Health skills. This meeting is a joint effort of three CIHR Health Research Training Platforms: CAN-AMR-NET, Canopy, and the Canadian Bioinformatics Hub’s Atlantic Node. Canopy trainees from the second and third cohorts are expected to attend this workshop, with travel support provided by Canopy.

The Ecological Forecasting Initiative (EFI) is an international grassroots consortium aimed at building and supporting an interdisciplinary community of practice around near-term (daily to decadal) ecological forecasts. Hosted by the Canadian Chapter of EFI, the EFI2026 Conference will assemble local, regional, national, and global leaders from the mathematical sciences, environmental sciences, epidemiology, data sciences, One Health, and related disciplines to advance the state of ecological forecasting.

In 2026, the World One Health Congress returns for its ninth edition, bringing together a global community of experts dedicated to advancing One Health science and policy. Over the course of four days, the Congress will feature a dynamic and forward-thinking agenda, with parallel tracks covering One Health science, antimicrobial agents and resistance, and the science-policy interface, among other critical topics.
